Rates & seasonal pricing / Berth Manager

Marina pricing software for rates you can explain.

Set a base nightly rate, account for the season and define the adjustments your marina actually uses. Inspect the quote before the guest commits.

What should a three-night stay cost?

A pricing rule should be explainable to the person answering the phone. Berth Manager lets you configure nightly rates and seasonal adjustments, with vessel-based rules for the cases that need them. The booking quote brings those settings together for the selected stay.

The pricing workspace and the revenue view have different jobs. One defines how a quote is calculated; the other helps you review recorded booking value, paid online bookings and occupancy. Expected value from a pending booking should not be mistaken for money already collected.

In the workspace

From setup to daily use.

  1. 01

    Set the starting rate

Choose the marina currency and base nightly rate. Individual berth records can carry their own rates, reflecting the inventory you are offering.

  2. 02

    Describe the adjustments

Group months into named seasons and set their percentage adjustments. Use the available rule fields for vessel length, beam, draft or season where a further adjustment is needed.

  3. 03

    Review the result

Check the guest quote with the relevant berth, vessel and dates. Fees and tax are shown separately so the full price can be reviewed before checkout.

Worked example / €60 base rate with a 40% peak adjustment

Put a simple three-night quote on paper first.

For an illustrative stay entirely within one configured peak season, a €60 base nightly rate with a 40% adjustment becomes €84 per night. Three nights give a €252 berth subtotal. Fees and tax still need to be checked in the complete quote.

A practical rates & seasonal pricing example
The stepWhat to doWhat to check
Base tariffExample berth rate: €60 per night. Use a per-berth value where that space needs a different tariff.Confirm the currency and the saved berth's rate before looking at seasonal adjustments.
SeasonExample peak adjustment: €60 × 1.40 = €84. Three example nights: €84 × 3 = €252.This example uses a single season and no vessel modifier. Review the actual quote for the selected dates and rules.
Final quoteInspect any applicable vessel rule, platform fee and configured tax before accepting the total. The example subtotal is not a live offer. Changing pricing settings should not be confused with rewriting a stored booking quote.

The setup notebook

Prepare your tariff decisions

  • The currency and base nightly tariff for each offered berth.
  • A season calendar with clear, non-overlapping month assignments.
  • Any intended vessel-based adjustment and the reason for it.
  • A small set of example stays for the office to verify before launch.

Review the situations the office actually quotes: a short stay, a different vessel size and a season boundary. Inspect the returned calculation rather than assuming the rule name describes its result.

Product capabilities

Structured rate building blocks for nightly stays.

Build transparent marina tariffs from base berth rates, non-overlapping seasonal calendars and vessel dimension rules.

Base tariffs

Marina-wide currency and per-berth nightly rates

Configure your marina's operating currency and default nightly tariff, then override rates on individual berths for premier quays, catamarans or superyacht alongside spaces.

Seasonal calendar

Non-overlapping monthly season definitions

Assign calendar months to peak, shoulder or winter seasons with explicit percentage adjustments. Validation prevents overlapping month rules so every night has one clear seasonal rate.

Dimension rules

Length, beam and draft pricing modifiers

Define targeted percentage or rate rules for larger vessels based on LOA, beam or draft thresholds while respecting the physical maximums of each berth.

Revenue separation

Booked reservation value vs. collected online receipts

Compare total quoted booking value against verified online payments and berth occupancy in the revenue view so financial reporting stays grounded in real payment states.

Connected roles

Clear pricing for the office, the skipper and the accounts team.

When every quote is calculated from explicit rules, nobody has to guess how a stay total was reached.

Marina manager

Configure seasonal calendars and berth tariffs

Set high-season, mid-season and winter percentage adjustments once, and adjust individual berth rates where location or service level warrants a different tariff.

Front desk & reservations

Explain every line of a guest quote

See the exact nightly base rate, seasonal adjustment, vessel rule, fee and tax breakdown behind any reservation quote when answering guest inquiries.

Visiting boat owner

Review the complete stay cost before paying

Inspect the nightly breakdown and tax total before confirming checkout, with automatic notification if the marina's configured rate changes before payment.

A clear price starts with clear inputs

Season boundaries

Give each month one seasonal setting. Overlapping seasons are rejected so the pricing configuration has an understandable calendar.

Vessel rules

Record the dimensions used by a rule and choose its adjustment deliberately. A price adjustment does not override the berth's physical vessel limits.

Performance context

Review booking value, collected online payments, occupancy and berth performance in the revenue workspace. These records help assessment; they do not predict demand or guarantee a higher return.

Pricing is configured by the marina. The platform does not automatically optimize rates from market demand or guarantee occupancy, revenue or profit.

Before you start

A few practical questions.

Does marina pricing change automatically with demand?

The supported pricing is based on the rates, seasons and rules the owner configures. It should not be described as an autonomous demand forecast or a market-driven yield engine.

Does changing a rate rewrite an existing booking?

A booking keeps its stored quote. New quotes use the current pricing settings; the guest must review a changed price before accepting checkout.

Can different berths in the same marina have different nightly rates?

Yes. While the marina profile sets a default base rate and currency, each individual berth record can specify its own nightly rate to reflect size, quay position or amenities.

How does the revenue view handle pending vs. paid bookings?

The revenue workspace separates total recorded booking value from verified online payments so pending or unpaid reservations are never mixed with settled online receipts.
